Blast Furnace
Blast furnace technology has been the main method of producing iron for decades. A blast furnace is a round shaft with a refractory lining that is 100 to 200 feet high and has an inner diameter of 20 to 45 feet. The wall lining is usually 2 feet or more thick and contains over 2,500 tons of refractory material. Blast furnaces produce iron by exposing iron ore, iron particles and sinter to high temperatures and carbon monoxide (a reducing agent). Coke is the main fuel.
The preheated air from the hot blast furnace is also injected into the furnace through the tuyere. The tuyere surrounds the furnace at the top of the furnace, where incomplete coke combustion occurs. Burning releases a considerable amount of heat and creates very hot carbon monoxide reduction gases, reducing the amount of gas swept upward through the ingredients. Iron oxide reduction begins when the ore is in contact with the reduced gas, and it is usually carried out in stages to form metal iron with high carbon content. Iron gathers in the furnace to form a molten pool. Since there is no opportunity to repair refractories during operation, the length of blast furnace activity time mainly depends on the service life of refractories.

From the bottom of the furnace through the hearth and chimney, the refractory design will vary due to the conditions of use and destructive forces in each area of the furnace. Lite will work closely with you to ensure that all requirements are met, and choose the appropriate material (75% high alumina brick, 65% high alumina brick or high strength refractory brick) used in each part of the furnace. Several alternatives are available, depending on the cooling design and activity objectives of the furnace.
Design plan and construction drawings
Design scheme: our company has a design company with first-class qualification, and the designer has 30 years of experience in kiln design. After the drawing is completed, three experts (civil engineer, construction engineer and operating engineer) will carry out the final review of the drawing to ensure that there will be no mistakes in the construction of the kiln.
Construction drawing: The dimensions of each place are marked on the construction drawing, and the name, size and quantity of the refractory used are marked. Any experienced construction worker can understand the drawings and follow the construction without any mistakes.
Evaluation and preparation of refractory materials
Rotary kiln is very common in the refractory industry. Common uses include calcined clay, high alumina bauxite, magnesia, high iron sand, magnesia chrome sand, magnesium aluminum spinel, dolomite and activated lime.

Construction procedure
According to the characteristics of the tunnel kiln, the construction procedures are as follows:
(1) underground part
Total flue, inspection tunnel and tunnel kiln foundation;
(2) Track installation
Install the kiln inner track, make a model car, and water the secondary concrete;
(3) kiln wall
The kiln wall is built up to the arch bricks, including the installation of sand sealing grooves and sand pipes;
(4) Install the fan
Cast the fan foundation and install all the gates of the fan and kiln;
Construction procedure
(5) kiln arch
Brickwork arches and some walls and dense tops above the arched bricks;
(6) Installation of kiln outer track
Installation of kiln outer track, trolley machine, return winch, kiln door, etc.;

Acceptance and trial
1. Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the appearance quality of the kiln masonry to see if there is any crack, settlement or deformation phenomenon;
2. Remove the foreign matter in the air passage, the air outlet, the pedestrian hole, the sand sealing groove, the sanding pipe, the inspection well, the inspection road, and the outer wall and the brick column and the expansion joint;
Acceptance and trial
3. Whether the expansion joint is filled with insulation material, and whether the closed hole should be closed tightly;
4. Whether the sand sealing groove is added to the sand according to the regulations;
5. Whether the mechanical kiln door and the damper lift are flexible, and whether the closing is tight and airtight.
